The safety and security of our ranch owners is the top priority of our community. The upkeep and improvements to the miles of road we have is of utmost importance. We all need reliable, safe access.
Recent Roadwork
Roadwork has been ongoing in 2022. On the South Side: We added eight belly dump truck loads of 2+ inch rock. This is approximately 28 tons of rock per truck load. The rock was spread starting just before mile marker two on and was spread where the road were rutting bad . The rock made it to almost mile marker three. We also installed a culvert near Fishers Way. We had Hummingbird Way’s road reestablished cleaned up over growth and cleaned out bar ditches. We had several property owners donated rock or road base . Rhonda & Randy Greene and Dennis & Misty G. Donated one belly dump of roadbase and was spread just before the first switch back by mile marker one. Justin & Dave donated one tandem truck load of 2+ inch rock, approximately 15 tons, and was spread on a switch back just after mile marker five. Our action plan on snow removal in 2022 has changed! Snow removal has been going well–if we get more than two inches of snow we get the roads plowed. The benefits that we are noticing is that the roads dry up much faster. This minimizes the ruts. We also noticed that if we get less than two inches of snow the roads get bad quick. We will continue to tune our approach to preserve the work we have been doing on the roads. In 2020 we've added gravel to certain sections of the road, and snow removal was required in October after we received 15" of snow. We've been working to fill in holes and having some pre-winter grading roadwork done while the road is workable. Drive carefully! Early in 2019 year bids were taken by the board to determine the best contractor for repairing and maintaining our roads going forward. It was decided by the board, with property owner’s input, to use leftover snow removal funds to add gravel to the roads in the areas of priority. In May 2019, the Road Committee was tasked with creating a prioritized list of repairs and areas in need of gravel for North and South Ridgeline Drive. Several areas were identified, and in addition to repairs, 6 loads of gravel were added to the north side and 10 loads to the south side (proportional to number of lots per side). Work was completed in August 2019 with great reviews. J & K Delivery has been doing the gravel work and snow plowing since July 2019. A lot of work has been done on improving your roads!
